Software Developer
AGCO is currently seeking a Software Developer to join our Diagnostic Tool Development team in Hesston, KS. The Software Developer will play a key part in the development and maintenance of the global Electronic Diagnostic Tool (EDT) for AGCO that includes electronics systems health management, diagnostic trouble code analysis, and firmware management. The Software Developer will work as part of an agile team on project initiatives and implementation.
Note: Relocation assistance is available to the Hesston, KS area for this position. The Software Developer will travel 10:20 of the time, which may include international travel.
Responsibilities of the Software Developer:
:Maintain the Electronic Diagnostic Application using the following technologies: C, ASP.NET, MVC, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
:Complete proposed initiatives, contributing application architecture, and implementation guidance with assigned team
:Understand requirements, technology needs, and development solutions
:Participate in project scoping initiatives
:Proactively seek information, clarification, and project knowledge from other team members
:Collaborate with internal teams to develop appropriate solutions
:Assist test engineers, and product support, with problem analysis and provide prompt resolutions
:Adhere to AGCO's quality standards by performing responsibilities in compliance with Change Management, Project Management Policies, and Guidelines and Procedures
Required Qualifications of the Software Developer:
:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related engineering discipline OR 4+ years of C, ASP.NET, and JavaScript development experience
:3+ years of windows application or website software development experience with C, ASP.NET, and JavaScript
Preferred Qualifications of the Software Developer:
:3+ years of experience with database architecture setup, maintenance, and support
:1+ years of software development experience related to electronic diagnostic, fleet management, and/or telematics systems
:1+ years of experience with software development processes and version control software
:1+ years of experience with build automation development
:1+ years of experience working test driven development
:1+ years of experience working with agricultural equipment
Education of the Software Developer:
:High school diploma is required
:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related engineering discipline is strongly preferred
