The candidate for this position will process bankruptcy documents and communicate with both attorneys and bankrupt debtors. Tasks include regularly monitoring bankrupt accounts, reviewing reports, compiling documentation, ordering the necessary forms from custodians, preparing paper work, transmitting packages to attorneys, and filing Proofs of Claim and Reaffirmation Agreements with the bankruptcy court. In addition to serving as the Bankruptcy Processor, the candidate answers the Consumer Loan Servicing telephone calls and assists customers as needed. Tasks include, but not limited to, being the first point of contact for many of our internal and external customers, providing problem-solving support and maintaining contact with third party servicers and acquisition loan customers.
Requirements for the position include a high school diploma (or equivalent), proficient in PACER bankruptcy system preferred, two years experience working with bankruptcy in a law firm or bank preferred, strong oral and written interpersonal communication skills, the ability to organize and maintain a filing system, and basic computer skills.
